Sketchbook: Shading - Due 10/10

You will apply your shading skills into two different sketches of your choice. The sketch needs to be something physical and show your knowledge of creating highlights and shadows while shading. The first sketch needs to incorporate either hatching or cross hatching. The second sketch is totally up to you.

Sketchbook: Color - Due 10/10

Create a sketch of your choice, but you do need to use color pencil to add color to your sketch. You can colorize the entire sketch or be selective. Totally up to you!

Sketchbook: Song Lyrics or Quotes - Due 9/15

Create a sketch that represents song lyrics, a song, a quote or poetry that you enjoy. Push yourself to add significant details.

Sketchbook: Still Life - Due 8/27

Find an object around your house that you will sketch in your sketch book. Don't be concerned if you aren't a good sketcher, that is the purpose of us practicing sketching so we can become better. There are a million resources online to help you sketch still life. You will be graded on your effort with this sketch and having it ready at the start of class.
