Overview

You will work individually and as a group to create a design piece that will permanently hang in the front office. Each of you will work on symbols that represent North HS or the Northside/Denver community. The designs will be laser cut out, painted and assembled. 

 

Objective - What is the problem I need to solve?

• What symbolism represents our community or school?

• How will these symbols look and feel after being physically created?

• How will the individual symbols work on a larger scale with all of the symbols?

Step 1: Brainstorming Steps

1. Create a new folder inside your Final folder and name it “Wall”.

2. Create a new Google Doc inside your project folder and copy and paste the Wall Creative Brief into this new doc.

3. Fill out the top of the Creative Brief and title it by clicking on Untitled Document. 

4. Complete the Creative Brief brainstorming steps.

 

Step 2: Project Steps

1. We will plan as a group around size and brainstorm ideas of symbols. 

2. Create your designs in Illustrator using the appropriate sizes. 

3. We will laser cut the designs and paint them.

Step 3: Turn In Directions

1. Save your AI file as “lastName_Wall.ai”.

2. Export your file as a JPG by going to File>Export and changing the format to JPG.

3. Complete the self-evaluation and grading on the rubric.
